Nire Byre

The Nire Byre is a cosy one-bedroom, ideal for one or two guests, with a cot that can be put in the main room to comfortably accommodate a third. In cooler weather, light the wood-burning stove and settle in for the evening; in warmer months, stretch out on the zero gravity chairs on the deck and watch the light change over the valley after a long hike.

The Nire Byre has a full kitchen with a hob, oven, microwave, and coffee maker — everything you need to cook for yourselves. And because we know guests often arrive weary from travel, we'll have some breakfast basics waiting for you: milk, butter, jam, fresh fruit, cereal, and something baked.

Nire Byre sits next to our centuries-old farmhouse where we live. The cottage is fully self-contained and entirely yours — your own entrance, your own deck, your own slice of the valley. You'll have all the privacy and quiet you came for, but if you need a restaurant recommendation, a hiking route, or a hand with anything at all, we're just steps away. Think of it as seclusion with a safety net.
